Patience....

If you know me, there's two things that you know I have.... priorities and a limited amount of patience. The latter is wearing thin on a few different sides, so I'm going to settle into the priorities for a while. I haven't talked to people in forever -- partially conflicting schedules, partially because I don't want to download stress and anxiety into other parts of my life.

*end venting*

In case you're curious, here's my Essential To Do List:

- Standard Work Stuff... Trying not to put in more effort than I'm getting benefits out of it... It's all about managing expectations and trying not to flip out in the process...
- Classwork -- Big project draft due 2/9, final Due 2/23. Another class starts 3/2, and another starts on 3/11.... *shoot me*
- DAR Juniors Club stuff -- All sorts of things, including the State Conference Junior Breakfast
- C.A.R. Convention planning this weekend
- Conference Season starts in three weeks -- VASSAR, V.S.C.A.R., VADAR, APO, N.S.C.A.R., NSDAR Planning.
- Handbell rehearsal -- practicing with Dad to get a duet together for Spring / Summer
- Make it to Graduation... May 25th.... If I can get to that point without going insane, I'll be happy.
- ... and wedding planning. (If you haven't seen the site yet, click here - and sign the guestbook!!)

If anyone feels the urge to take on any of this stuff for me, please let me know ;) I'm accepting resumes for personal assistants.... immediate opportunities are available ;)

"You must have a brain somewhere in there..."

*shakes head*... sometimes I really want to take a Dutchman as he means it...

First, Happy New Year to all! Christmas was crazy, as usual, but full of fun and family.

The Christmas Pageant went wonderfully! Baby Jesus even slept on cue!! I might just have to try that "one-rehearsal" bit again. Seeing Ryan and Chris home for Christmas was definitely a high point -- It's tough being one of the only people in the church that's your age!! *hugs*

Christmas Day was the annual drive to WV - though this time after Church. We had a nice evening, and I got to show Lauren Paige my heritage scrapbook that Mom and I had worked on. She was surprised how many pictures of her were in there!

Darrin and I spent NYE with Ted and Rachel -- it's been forever since we'd had a chance to hang out, and I REALLY needed the laid-back evening :) We had an awesome dinner, caught up on life (and everyone else's lives), played games, watched videos and (the traditional) Dick Clark's NYE show. After polishing off the bottle of champage, Darrin and I headed home, since I had to do the "church thing" in the morning.

Plans are being made for Commencement!! May 25, 2006 will be the last day of a three-year long effort on our Cohort's part. The "Well Oiled Machine" will be graduating with a M.S. in Information & Telecommunications Systems with a concentration in Information Security. We also found out that we will be earning our "Graduate Certificate in Information Security" from all the classes we took as electives. *whew* MSA anyone??

Mom and I went to a Bridal Show this weekend. It was rather disappointing, considering the one at the Patriot Center was MUCH bigger and had better selections of vendors. There was only *one* invitation vendor at the WHOLE show!! Nonetheless, we got to make some decisions, and I got some good wedding trip information so Darrin can plan something spectacular involving diving ;) ;) (hint hint!)
