Don't let the door hit you on the way out....

Whew, definitely finishing up a few bad chapters, and looking forward to some good ones!

I'm off the Tiger Team task, which is going to do a lot for my sanity. I'll miss the IRS policy task, but it's for the best that Pat take that over.

Getting onboard with the JTF-GNO task has been pretty fun so-far... The team is fairly young, but experienced, so we're getting a lot of good feedback. Our first briefing was well-accepted, and we're on-track to deliver some quality stuff in June/July.... right around Congress!! yay!

I'm psyched about the DAR Junior Breakfast on Saturday, and the VJC meeting on Friday! Karen and I have been busting our collective butt to get things together... She's more organized than I am!! -- Good thing she's the Treasurer!!

Sunday is going to be exciting... Mrs. Davis' project dedication and the conclusion of the 2nd Conference of Mrs. Mayer's administration. I absolutely love her "Explore, Dream, Discover" theme!!

JHU Capstone work is going well -- I'm definitely looking forward to putting work into it next week! Once I get past DAR State, I'll be good until C.A.R. National in April. Shockingly, there's very little on my calendar right now-- good thing that plan came together! Capstone has to take precedence!

Seats upright .... Seat Belts Fastened...

Ladies and Gentlemen.... Please prepare for final landing... (Thanks Jennie)...

Countdown to May 11th has begun. The timetable got moved up 2 weeks because the "Well-Oiled Machine"'s Capstone Academic Presentation is May 11th. Graduation is May 25th.

So what's happened in the past month? Eesh... here's the short-version.

-Baking up a storm for Dad's SAR State Conference Reception.
-C.A.R. Convention Planning
-learning to play the zither, re-learning the fife, and perfecting the thumb piano for the Colonial Entertainment program
-Incessant costume fittings (Mom made our outfits - pictures to come!)
-Presenting said Entertainment program at a record-attendance SAR Ladies' Event
-Enjoying Dad presiding at SAR State's Banquet in the same ballroom where I presided C.A.R. State Conference!
-Snow... which threw off a Potluck (rescheduled for this weekend!)
-double-booked meetings, and I even forgot about both of them!
-Delivery of the huge 200+ page Information Assurance Plan for a class. Rant: We got "nickel and dimed" to the point that we only got an 80% on it!
-V.S.C.A.R. State Conference where Miss Michelle presided. *good times*
- Planning for VADAR Juniors Club meeting and Breakfast- It's a casino theme this year!!
-Girl Scout planning meetings for Great Falls Day and the Girl Scout Sunday celebration
-client-site interview, where I start working tomorrow.

and that brings us mostly up-to-date.

Our house has a happier aura to it now. No more talk of backstabbing political moves. No more stress of stupid people trying to keep their nose in everything we do. No more planning to cover inevitable sticky situations.

Onto happier places and thoughts... and to finish out Conference Season
