Maybe I'm missing the point

For being so pretty, this weekend has been pretty bad.

First off though, a HUGE YAY for all but finishing my capstone project with the "Well Oiled Machine" from Hopkins!! We had a grrreat session, and we knocked out almost all of our deliverables! WOOHOO!

Then it was all downhill from there! No one was around last night to hang out with, and those who were were "too tired", "too busy" or had some excuse equivalent to washing their hair. *Boo*. FYI, I'm not going to beg and plead - If you sound like you don't want to go out and have fun, I'm not going to force you to...

So then the Page Hotel Room reservations had to get done... Not hard, right? Wrong. I didn't have the password for the site, and I had to spend 3 hours on the phone this morning with our hotel lady to get the 12 rooms all straightened out!

Ok, great.. that's done. So I'm still waiting on a call from Friday afternoon. Yeah, like that's going to come... Lesson learned: It's a good idea to check the safety harness BEFORE going on a rollercoaster.

I wouldn't mind a couple sick days to get over this cold either.

creepy crappy day

So today didn't start out so well.... who knew that superiors were able to screw up THAT badly! Leave it to ME in my first month with this client to find all the problems and try to fix them single-handedly... *sigh*

So after that, my game was TOTALLY thrown off.... to the point that I left for the "Guest Speaker Forum" that convened at Rock Bottom at 2:30. Yeah, so no one was there -- which shocked me for Booz Allen employees! But I swear I saw an ex-boyfriend-look-alike at Ballston which shocked the *stars* out of me. I was way too shocked to see if it was really him -- kinda the "not knowing what to say... even it if were him" thing.

Now to finish my final for IT Strategy. Can this day get any better?? Please??

Interim Review.... and sanity is lost

The Well-Oiled Machine made it through Interim Review presentation last night... Definitely glad that's over! Maybe we'll all return to a bit more sanity.... HA! It seemed like Professor Yates was pretty pleased with our presentation -- now we're just waiting for the email results.

The only bummer of the night was that after the IR, absolutely no one was around to call!! Boo!

We had our last "class" last night -- and Scott brought up a pretty good point... We haven't gotten much out of IT Strategy because we're SOOOOO concentrated on the Capstone! The only grade we have in this class will be the final exam -- but apparently the case study counts as extra credit.

Onto the next thing....

.... when i get time

Sorry about the lack of posting recently... man, it's been one heck of a ride.

BUT the good news is that one month from TODAY the Well-Oiled Machine presents its final Academic Presentation for the Capstone... which to all of you NOT in the hopkins program means "We're done!".

I've been crazy busy with Hopkins stuff, Scouts, APO Sectionals, Conferences, Conference Planning and work, so you won't be surprised that my posts from Conference Season haven't made it up here yet.

I hope to be over the stress soon... personally-delivered pina coladas can't hurt though!!
